John Geluardi was born and raised in San Francisco. He worked at several different careers -- carpenter, business owner, mortgage broker, before settling into his chosen profession of journalism. For the past 10 years, he has primarily been a government reporter and has won numerous awards for his feature-length stories on the legendary Caffe Trieste, shoddy murder investigations by the San Francisco Police, the vice presidential campaign of Matt Gonzalez and the assassination of Harvey Milk. Recently he has traveled around the country speaking about the politics and business of the medical marijuana industry.
Since Geluardi was a child, he has enjoyed spending time outdoors. Any free time he has is spent camping or hiking on Mount Tamalpais with his cattle dog mix, Corso, who is named after beat poet Gregory Corso.
