D. Milton Stokes, PhD, MPH, RD, CDN, is a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist and owner of One Source Nutrition, LLC. He's also an assistant professor of nutrition and dietetic internship director at University of Saint Joseph. He has over 20 years experience in the areas of food and nutrition as a nutrition professional and former restaurateur.
His firm provides nutrition counseling and consulting to individuals and groups for weight management, eating disorders, and other nutrition-related health conditions. OSN also partners with companies and organizations to provide nutritional analysis of menus and recipes; recipe testing; presentations on food and nutrition topics; corporate wellness; freelance copy; and more.
In addition, Milton is a former National Media Spokesperson for the American Dietetic Association where he's been featured in Cooking Light, Fitness, Self, Men's Health, AOL, The Washington Post, Ladies Home Journal, and countless others. He's also written freelance articles for Environmental Nutrition, Today's Dietitian, Family Doctor, Men's Health, Prevention, WeightWatchers.com, NY Daily News, and countless others. His 5th book, Flat Belly Diet! for Men (Rodale, 2009) was a New York Times best seller.
Milton began his career in clinical nutrition in New York City working for a food and nutrition management company. He has served in staff and management positions along the way as well as precepted dietetic interns and students from several area colleges and programs. He taught as an adjunct lecturer in the Nutrition Department at New York University. Milton's graduate degree is in Public Health from Hunter College and his clinical training was conducted at Yale-New Haven Hospital. His PhD is in Health Communication from the University of Connecticut.
