Christine Echeverria Bender

Christine Echeverria Bender's novel "The Far Reach of Yesterday" is an International Book Award Winner!

The secrets of past eras and cultures have enticed her into ghost towns of the Old West, archives of libraries and museums, recesses of prehistoric caves, and aboard historic tall ships. She's also crossed the turbulent Snake River on horseback and joined team of archeologists from the Smithsonian Institute at a 15th century Basque whaling site. Because of these and other endeavors she was dubbed the “female Indiana Jones” by Women’s Adventure Magazine.

For her works of historic fiction: "Challenge The Wind”, "Sails of Fortune” “The Whaler’s Forge”, and “Aboard Cabrillo’s Galleon", she's been honored to receive research grants from the National Endowment of the Arts and the Idaho Commission on the Arts.

The screenplay based on her novel "The Far Reach of Yesterday" has won national and international screenwriting awards in both New York and Los Angeles.
