Jerome Parisse

Jerome is French-Australian and shares his time between Paris and Sydney. After graduating with a master’s in economics and a master’s in applied Linguistics, he started his career in management consulting. His writing career begun with novels written in English: The Wings of Leo Spencer (2010) and Body Swap (2010). His one-act plays have been staged in many places around the world including Australia, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Singapore, Malaysia and Switzerland. The Birthday Knife (2009), Guys, Only Guys (2009), and Love and Light (2012) were published by Smith & Kraus. Love and Light received the jury’s prize at the Short & Sweet 2009 festival in Kuala Lumpur. The Birthday Knife was a finalist in the ACTober Fest in North Hollywood in 2007. The Birthday Knife was also adapted for a short film in 2021 in Los Angeles. Métaphore du Rapide (2011, republished 2024) is his first novel written in French.
