Jane S. Poole

Jane and her husband live on small acreage in the Pacific NW where she writes, gardens and works in her studio. She is an artist as well as a writer, and loves to teach the Bible.

Jane's latest book is a collection of her watercolor paintings of Amboy, Washington with text from interviews with local people. All income from this book goes to the North Clark Historical Museum in Amboy.

Her most ambitious book is the biography of Frances Rolleston, 19th century writer of "Mazzaroth: The Constellations." It is the first published biography of Miss Rolleston, and Rolleston's own letters are its main source. It is indexed, has over 50 photos, and the style is conversational (not stuffy).

Jane's most fun writing project was "The Forbidden Answer" and its sequel "Secret Friends, Secret Foes," both set in the contemporary PNW and aimed at middle school kids. They are stories of courage told with humor, suspense and adventure.
