Michael Sidney Welch

"Michael Sidney Welch was born into a world at war and raised in the East Midlands of England. As an active member of the Anglican communion he moved to Jerusalem where for many years he studied ancient and modern philosophy, concentrating on existentialist thought, in particular the work of the Danish theologian Soren Kierkegaard. He also studied both Jewish and Christian theology, seeking an answer to the quandary of the evil of violence among men who, purportedly, sought peace. After completing his catechism with Franciscan Fr. Phil Pavitch at the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem under the direction of Fr. Francis Martin and then being received into the Catholic Church like his great mentor John Henry Newman, he moved to the United States and made a comprehensive study of physical theory. 'Existence and Being' (2001) and 'Consciousness of Being' (2004) were early attempts to formulate and publish the thought finally expressed in 'The Reality of Being' (2010)

'The Reality of Being, Understanding the Spiritual Universe', while intellectually challenging, is also stimulating and easily accessible to the intelligent reader. The intent of the work is to perform what it describes, telling the story of the expansion of human consciousness.

Michael lives with his wife Maija and several cats in Alaska."
