James Denboer

James DenBoer is a poet, translator, bibliographer, non-fiction author, editor and publisher. He has been given many grants, awards and prizes for his poetry, from such institutions as the National Endowment for the Arts, National Arts Council, the International Poetry Forum, PEN–New York, Carnegie Fund for Authors, Authors League, the Portland Review, and the Walter Pavlich Memorial Poetry Award. In 2010, he became Editor of Swan Scythe Press, a poetry press founded by Sandra McPherson in 2000, and now entering its second decade of publishing new poets. He lives in Sacramento, CA, and makes a meagre living as a lackadaisical book scout.
