Marcos Ferretti received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from the Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP), Campinas, SP, Brazil, in 1987, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Southern California (USC), Los Angeles, CA, USA, in 1999 and 2004, respectively.
