Jenny Newell

Dr Jenny Newell works in the environmental humanities as a researcher and curator, with a focus on the Pacific. She is manager of Pacific and International Collections, Australian Museum. She has previously worked at the British Museum, National Museum of Australia and the American Museum of Natural History, New York. Her work centres on climate change, environmental histories and material culture in the Pacific Islands. She works closely with communities in Sydney and the region. Jenny Newell is Australian, and while her three sons were each born in different continents, with frequent visits to the Pacific, they are appreciating growing up with access to the bush and beaches of Australia.
