Edward J. Gonzalez

Edward J Gonzalez (1962-) was born in Atlanta, Georgia, to Cuban immigrant parents, grew up in Costa Rica, and returned to the United States in 1980. For fifteen years he built homes and offices in Florida and North Carolina before returning to complete college. His first book, "Cuban Exiles on the Embargo," was accomplished due to a desire to record a portion of the oral history he grew up with, one that was beginning to fade with each passing death. In 2006, he was the featured writer for the freshman composition class at his Alma mater, Western Carolina University. Mr. Gonzalez continues to write as he abandons a semi-nomadic life to settle in Alaska with his homeschooling family. Currently he lives, fishes, works and writes in Fairbanks, Alaska.
