George Gonzalez-Rivas

George Gonzalez-Rivas was born in Havana, just before the revolution, and his folks got him out just in time. (For which he will always be grateful to his Dad and Mom!) You see George would have made a lousy communist... he tends to ask too many questions and challenge every established notion he's exposed to. Sometimes this is even useful -- like when he's redesigning a work process for a customer. But creativity and continuous improvement are not exactly core survival skills in totalitarian environments - rather the opposite!

He has been playing at writing for years...many filled notebooks... and he's looking forward to converting these notes into active publishing projects. Far From the Factory is his first book.

Currently he's working on a "Modern Lean parable" that is a cross between Dr Seuss's "Grinch" and Eli Goldratt's "The Goal". He's also converting one of the characters he's been entertaining his kids with at dinnertime into a children's book "Bruno, the Brave Bee". The next two: "The Sad Semicolon" and the "The Seldon Model" are in the sketch stage.
