Gillian Hovell is an award-winning writer and author, public speaker, muddy archaeologist and passionate ancient historian who specialises in bringing the ancient world vividly to life and adding colour and depth to our modern lives by digging deep into the ancient world.
Born and bred in Surrey, and graduated in Latin and Ancient History, she moved to the Yorkshire Dales in 2003 and has been knee-deep in archaeology ever since.
