Simon Cooke

Simon Cooke, M.A., Ph.d is a British academic writer and teacher. He has published widely on Victorian art and literature, with essays appearing in British and American journals such as Dickens Studies Annual, Victorian Periodicals Review, Dickens Quarterly, Bronte Studies and Victorians Institute Journal. He has also contributed to George Landow's Victorian Web and is a member of the editorial panel for Gary Crawford's on-line journal, Le Fanu Studies.

He is a great collector of Victorian books and has a large library of gift books, periodicals and books for children. His interest in Victorian illustration developed in the 1970s when he was an undergraduate at Birmingham University, England.

Simon Cooke is married and has two small children. His leisure interests include writing poetry, good food, film, and theatre.
