Derrick Johnson

Derrick Johnson, the founder and CEO of Streetlife Publishers was born in Illinois but raised in Minneapolis, MN. At the age of 36, for the first time he tried his hand at writing books. What started out as a means to pass time, eventually led to him pursuing a career in writing. After his national best selling book "Get Down or Lay Down," he followed up with four more novels "A Real Goon's Bible," "Cut Throat Mafia," "Murda Squad," and his newly released "Street Kingz." He has currently put the finishing touches on his next best seller, the highly anticipated sequel to "Get Down Lay Down," "Lay It Down," in stores now.
