David J. Moran

David J Moran lives with his wife Christine, in a small rural village on the edge of the West Pennine Moors. Now retired, he was a Principal officer in the Prison Service for some thirty years; his colourful experiences support many of the story lines developed in his writing.

His first marriage ended in divorce, after the death by suicide of his son David,(while waiting for his examination results for Kings Collegue Oxford...on the day he killed himself, the results were found in the post, they had accepted him!) and later the death of his second son Simon by Muscular disease. Despite the added burden, of being injuried in an accident at work, which meant he had to accept medical retirement. The new family of the second marriage, also not forgetting his remaining daughter Mandy, rallied to help him though all these set backs, encouraging him to turn his hobby of scribbling, into books!
