Christopher Dell

Christopher Dell studied History of Art at the Courtauld Institute, London, specializing in 13th-century French Gothic architecture, and 17th-century Roman Baroque. He then went on to work at the National Gallery and Architectural Association in London, and in art publishing. He lives and works in Amsterdam.

Chris's interest in the occult and Hermetic traditions began as an undergraduate looking at 17th-century mysticism, including the work of Athanasius Kircher, and its relationship to architecture. Over the years this has grown to include subjects such as Freemasonry, the monstrous, global mythological traditions, magic, the occult, and alternative visual traditions.
