Monika Sudakov

Monika Sudakov is a native of Southern California. She has a Bachelor's Degree in French and Theater from Chapman University and a Master's Degree in Cultural Anthropology from UNLV. Her research focus was on food and culture and specifically Moroccan tea ritual, as is evidenced by her published work "Moroccan Tea Ritual: Religion, Gender, Socio-Economics and Hospitality." In 2005, she and her husband purchased the Chestnut Street Inn Bed and Breakfast in Sheffield, IL. Sudakov teaches numerous cooking classes on the topic of Mediterranean cuisine. Her first cookbook, "A Collection of Recipes from Chef Monika" has sold over 1000 copies and she is currently working on several other cookbooks. She is also the author of the blog Chef Monika's MediterraneINN. In 2009 she earned the Bedandbreakfast.com Award for Best Food and in 2010 the Lanierbb.com Awards for Best Chef and Best Educational Classes.
