Doug Howard, with over 30 years experience in business development, M&A, operations, engineering, marketing, sales and executive leadership, published his first book in 2010. Howard's industry background includes senior leadership positions across a number of high-profile global companies in the Internet security and telecommunications sectors.
Howard is currently the CEO of Pondurance, LLC a leading Managed Detection and Response company. Previously in 2016, Howard joined RSA as to lead RSA Global Services, a combined $500M P&L, including the RSA Risk and Cybersecurity Practice, RSA University, RSA Professional Services, Customer Support, RSA Select (top 50 accounts) and Customer Success. In this role Global Services grew at an unprecedented rate, while margins reached an all-time high and Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) exceeded best in class benchmarks at 91%. He also was responsible for internal operations where the Office of the CIO and Office of Security reported to him. In 2021, he led the RSA Transformation Office where RSA exited Dell to STG for $2.075B. Prior, he founded SAVANTURE, Inc. (www.savanture.com) which was sold to BlueAlly. Howard previously served as CEO of VBrick Systems, President of USA.NET, a wholly owned subsidiary of Silversky (previously Perimeter E-Security which is now part of BAE) where he also held the corporate Chief Strategy Officer position. He also was the Chief Operating Officer of BT Counterpane, where he led a global team responsible for the development, implementation, operations and marketing of BT Counterpane's product and service lines. Prior to BT Counterpane, he served as Vice President of Security and Business Continuity at AT&T Corp., where he developed and launched new services for each of the company's business lines of service.
Howard started his career in the US Air Force working under the direct command of the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the Pentagon. After the military, he moved into the private sector and held executive positions at Sprint, FLAG Telecom, Telenet and Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC). He founded Technology Research International, Inc. in 1989, which was purchased by NBC Broadcasting in 1991. Howard's impressive business track record and industry thought leader status have earned him accolades from top analyst firms including Gartner, Frost & Sullivan and The Radicati Group.
