Igor Adamatsky

ADAMATSKY Igor Alekseevich (b. 27 January 1937, Leningrad) is poet, writer, script-writer and activist. He is born in family of military officer, graduate from Penza school (1954), studied in Institute of Literature (Leningrad). In 1950s together with few friends he founded journal “Eres” and joined underground dissident organisation, lead by R. Pimenov, aimed to increase democratic values of Soviet Society. He was dismissed from the Institute for his dissent activities. Then he worked as the docker and carpenter. He joined Philological Faculty of Leningrad University and graduated in 1968 with MSc in Russian Philology. He was organizer and president of famous underground club KLUB-81. He is author of twenty five novels, hundreds of philosophical stories, and movie scripts.
