Steven Collings

Steve is the audit and technical director for Leavitt Walmsley Associates Ltd who are a firm of Chartered Certified Accountants based in Sale, South Manchester and he specialises in financial reporting and auditing as well as having an interest in small business taxation issues. Steve was also a member of the UK GAAP Technical Advisory Group at the Financial Reporting Council. In 2011 Steve was named 'Accounting Technician of the Year' at the British Accountancy Awards. In 2013 he received the Outstanding Contribution to the Accountancy Profession award from the Association of International Accountants. He has been highly commended by the Association of Accounting Technicians.

Steve has written extensively for the accountancy profession including several hundred articles and many books. He is trained in international accounting standards and has lectured accountants in the Caribbean and Singapore. He has written several authoritative technical factsheets for ACCA and is currently a representative of the North West Practitioners Network for ACCA.

Steve writes for several publications and has authored many online courses on accounting and auditing issues.
