Seth Misenar

Seth Misenar is a Certified SANS Instructor and co-author of the book CISSP Study Guide from Syngress. Seth also serves as lead consultant and founder of Jackson, Mississippi-based Context Security, which provides information security though leadership, independent research, and security training. His background includes intrusion analysis, penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, regulatory compliance efforts, security architecture design, and general security consulting.

Prior to becoming a security geek, Seth received a BS in philosophy from Millsaps College, where he was twice selected for a Ford Teaching Fellowship. Seth is no stranger to certifications holding the prestigious GIAC Security Expert (GSE) credential and having achieved both Red Team and Blue Team designations in the SANS Cyber Guardian Program. Additionally, Seth has achieved certifications including: CISSP, GPEN, GWAPT, GSEC, GCIA, GCIH, GCWN, GCFA, and MCSE.
