Ayn Carrillo-Gailey

Ayn Carrillo Gailey currently lives on a remote island in the Pacific Northwest, after living in Los Angeles where she first made fun of herself (sadly, this is very easy to do) in "Sex y LA," a popular relationship column for Ciudad magazine that earned her critical acclaim from The LA Times. She is also the author of Pornology (Running Press/Random House) which is currently available in the U.S., UK, Germany, Taiwan, Macao, India, and China and is in post-production as a film entitled "A Nice Girl Like You," starring Lucy Hale (Pretty Little Liars) and Jackie Cruz (Orange is the New Black).

In addition to her work being highlighted in Latina, Cosmo, Documentary, and Elle, Ayn's scripts have been sold or produced by 20th Century Fox, 19 Entertainment, & Showtime. She has also been a guest on tv talk shows, was a featured author at The LA Times Festival of Books, and has appeared on KPFK radio, Maxim radio, Sirius Radio, and NBC Raw News.

When Ayn is not writing books or articles, she relishes being a book whisperer who has helped authors earn spots on the NY Times Bestseller list. She has just completed the first draft of a novel entitled "Life From Scratch."

Ayn holds multiple degrees from UCLA & Harvard University. She is represented on film and TV rights by manager Amy Schiffman at Intellectual Property Group, and by book agent Kate Garrick of De Fiore & Company on U.S. rights, and Whitney Lee of the Fielding Agency on foreign rights. She lives in the Pacific Northwest with her daughter (host of www.WondermintKids.com) & husband, critically-acclaimed novelist Samuel W. Gailey (Penguin/Blue Rider Press).
