Anthony Irvin

Tony Irvin qualified as a vet from Cambridge and spent twenty years in Kenya conducting research on diseases of cattle and wildlife, working closely with internationals scientists and with indigenous people such as the Maasai. He was Director of Biosciences at the International Livestock Research Institute in Nairobi and, for a number of years, was a senior adviser in the aid branch of the Foreign Office. On return to the UK, he began writing fiction for adults and children, all of which is set in Africa. The nearest he now gets to an off-road vehicle, is a ride-on mower.
