Dr. Sapkota is board certified in Internal medicine and has been practicing as a Hospitalist. He completed his Internal Medicine training at the Cook County Hospital, Chicago, IL. He is an excellent diagnostician and has been an active member of the American College of Physicians (ACP), Society of General Internal Medicine (SGIM) and Society of Hospital Medicine (SHM). As a Hospitalist, his main job is to evaluate and treat sick patients admitted to the hospital. Hospitalists are the doctors who specialize in the care of a patient that are admitted to the hospital. They are usually the ones that make the initial diagnosis. Other specialists are normally called to help treat a particular problem after it has been diagnosed by the admitting Hospitalist.
