Michael Cormier

Michael Cormier is a professional copywriter, ghostwriter, and editor, with three novels, two stage plays, and many short stories to his credit. A graduate of Northeastern University where he studied journalism and political science, Michael earned a Juris Doctor degree from Rutgers University School of Law. After juggling writing (public relations, speech-writing, and other projects) with a law practice, Michael became a full-time writer in 2013. Since then, he has written and edited books and scholarly papers of every length. His first novel, Sumner Island, received excellent reviews. In 2018, his short story, The Worshipping Tree, was part of a nationwide, award-winning college periodical. In 2019, Michael’s stage play, Saltonstall’s Trial, premiered in the Boston area. The play, about the Salem Witch Trials as seen through the eyes of one of the judges, was a surprise hit and won several off-Broadway awards. In addition to his freelancing career, Michael is presently at work on a new novel and stage play. He lives in New Hampshire with his wife, MaryLou.
