Michelle Russell

Michelle Russell, a native Californian, grew up in a show business family. She has worked as a singer, actress, and director. In the 1980s, she held positions both at the U.S. House of Representatives and the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. During the following decade, Michelle returned to New York City to pursue a singing career. This led to her creating multiple musical revues, and, eventually, becoming an author.

Ms. Russell's first book, "Sabrina - The Autobiography of a Cat," about her beloved cat of 20 years, was published in 2007. Three years later, the 2-volume work, "From Tennessee to Oz - The Amazing Saga of Judy Garland's Family History" followed. Michelle Russell has also written several children's books, namely "Meet Lily, a Very LIttle Girl," and "A Cat Named Toto," a music book, a musical research work, and a book of genealogy. In addition, her history, "They Followed Their Dreams: The Story of Three Chicago Family" was published in 2017. Russell is presently finalising what promises to be a very high-profile non-fiction work.
