Christopher Dowd

Dr. Christopher Dowd is Associate Professor and Chair of the English Department at the University of New Haven. He specializes in Irish-American literature and culture and is the author of The Construction of Irish Identity in American Literature (2011 Routledge) and The Irish and the Origins of American Popular Culture (2018 Routledge). He received his B.A. from Fairfield University, his M.F.A. from Emerson College, and his M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Connecticut.
