Thomas K. Hofer

I was born 2 March 1947 in Vienna, Austria. In 1976, I graduated from Tulane University, New Orleans, LA, with a B. A. degree. Since 1979, I have been a social service worker; from 1979 until 1989, I worked with the State of Louisiana, Office of Family Security. From 1989 until 1997, I lived in Orlando, Florida, and worked in child protection. Upon return to New Orleans, I worked at Covenant House New Orleans for ten years, then for one year at Hope House, also in New Orleans. I am now retired and live in Jefferson, LA. My year at Hope House is described in my book ONE YEAR - AND BEYOND.
