Lois Chazen

Lois Chazen was born in Miami, FL and now lives in Black Mountain, NC. Her passion for rescuing animals and writing began in Elementary school, where she was acknowledged as an aspiring poet. This passion for both animals and writing continued in her adult life. Her first book, Loving Ruby, was inspired by a true story about a baby female cardinal she rescued. Loving Ruby won the GOLD Mom's Choice Award in the category of Philanthropic. The Defenders of Wildlife emblem is on the front cover, and they will receive a portion of proceeds from sales. She also won the Readers View Literary award. Lois has recently created an amazing new series, Maddy Magoo's Animal Rescues, featuring different animal sanctuaries, representing all categories of species in every book, with stories to 'fit the script!" Lois donates money to the sanctuaries and the affiliate organizations. Her first book from this series, Tugen (Too-gen), is based on a true story about a young rooster who was rescued by the Asheville Humane Society and placed at Goat Mountain Sanctuary. Tugen was clueless about who, what, or where he was, and why he was abandoned by his mother. Tugen's life-lessons, are taught by the other animals and these teachings are in part, from Don Miquel Ruiz's incredible book, The Four Agreements. Her next book from the series is called, River, (Ambassadog/educational Wolf-dog at Full Moon Farm in Black Mountain)and is lovingly written to help the wolves and the wolf-dogs. The theme for this book is to rewrite the story of "Little Red Riding Hood" and create the theme: LOVE NOT FEAR! She will be targeting all species of animals throughout the USA and the WORLD. Her life-path is to create compassion for all animals on Earth, by creating a consciousness shift in humankind. Her heart belongs to the animals--PEACE LOVE TURTLEDOVE: Making a difference in the lives of animals...AMEN!
