Sylvia Brown-Roberts

Reading and writing are two favorite interests of Sylvia Brown-Roberts. As a child, she wrote stories which she shared with others. Outside of school, Sylvia read whatever she could find, including cereal boxes, labels, building and street signs, newspapers, comic books, magazines, and story books. In her schooling, she studied courses that furthered her writing development.

Author Sylvia enjoys creating thought-provoking characters and placing them in realistic settings that challenge their faith.

BEHIND CHURCH DOORS is Sylvia's first published novel. It gives voice to Nikolis McQuaige (NikkiMac),a single female Christian who struggles with her faith walk, but she won't give up. Sylvia's second novel is BEYOND CHURCH DOORS. It continues the story of NikkiMac, her fellow church members, and their urban community. NikkiMac discovers that she has victory when she allows God to direct her path instead of following her impulses. In January 2016, Sylvia's third novel in what has become her CHURCH DOORS series was published. BEHIND AND BEYOND CHURCH DOORS: PROMISES follows NikkiMac as she begins a blossoming friendship with the assistant minister. Is marriage in their future or will troubling issues from the past stand in their way? The fourth novel in the series is CHURCH DOORS BOOK 4: WON'T QUIT! NikkiMac has some surprises for readers.

Sylvia retired from the public school system after many years in the roles of teacher, staff trainer, and teacher specialist. She is married and lives in NJ. She enjoys music, fitness activities, children, family, and friends.
