Anne Elizabeth Colledge

Anne Colledge was born in Ruabon in North Wales. She went to Homerton College, Cambridge then taught deaf children for over thirty years.

The youngest child she visited at home was nine months old. The preschool children in Sunderland called her The Toy Lady because her car was full of toys.

Her grandchildren call her Grandma Surf because she loves surfing and canoeing.
