Prof. Gregory Ghica

Prof. Gregory Ghica(1936 - ) was born in Sibiu, Romania, to Scarlat and Maria Ghica. The father a Court of Appeal Judge. Mother a housewife.He grew up in the City of Pitesti Romania where he graduated from High School. Also he graduated from the National Romanian Academy of Physical Education, starting a career as a Physical Education teacher and coach for soccer, tennis and track & field. In 1969 he escaped from the communist Romania and immigrated to United States where became an American citizen. In United States he attained a Master Degree in Physical Education from U.C. Berkeley, and a Master Degree in Political Science from California State University Long Beach. He taught both subject matters for 25 years at the community college level. At the present time he is retired and live with his wife Cheryl in Paradise, California.
