E. B. Fletcher

E.B. Fletcher has had a long career in education and writing. She has taught in Virginia schools throughout the Commonwealth for over twenty years, both in the regular classroom, as a reading specialist, administrative reading specialist, and administrator. In addition, Fletcher has worked as an educational diagnostician, examining children with suspected learning disabilities and has taught on the college level as a visiting and adjunct professor. The author has made many presentations on reading, writing, and one of her favorite topics - ships. Her writings including Grandfather's Ship The S.S. United States, which was nominated for a literary award by the Library of Virginia and The Last American Star. Currently, Fletcher is working on her doctorate at The George Washington University in Administrative Leadership and Policy and is also writing her first novel. Fletcher is a member of the Steamship Historical Society of America, the Association of Supervisors of Curriculum and Development, the International Dyslexia Association, and the International Reading Association. Fletcher resides in Hampton, Virginia.
