Poet, novelist and art photographer, currently working with a 4X5 inch monorail view camera plus medium format with Mamiya C330f and RB67 plus writing verse and prose fiction. (Inherited title: media artist.)
First poetry book, The Times of Zenia Gold: a verse novel, was published by Blackwattle Press in 1992.
Current projects revolve around a triptych like assemblage of a prose novel, working title, Swindle Book One, a long narrative/lyric poem called, The Barbecue, which combines with a series of silver gelatin prints, as can we say, a media arts type photo poetry art book.
The still photos are also in the processing work flow of being printed as archival prints, 16x20 fully selenium toned. It is hoped that these prints can be multiple editions in the same way as books are. So, a first bootstrap edition, maybe of five to ten images, is in the planning pipeline. Low cost digital prints and free low res jpegs are a strategy being considered as a way to provide the images to those unable to pay fine art prices. Some people just want a print for their wall. The free jpegs expand this idea.
As to when, still a mystery. The author suffers Chronic Fatigue Syndrome of the more severe variety, which has no foreshadowed narrative and even the back shadow is hazy thanks to brain fog symptom. Sideways, the only way, my poetics; Absolute Deviation Poetics, following 1992, Queer Aesthetics, grad thesis, UTS. BA (Communication) from University of Technology, Sydney, 1991.
