Raymond Han

Raymond Han is a late baby boomer in Singapore. He has worked as a banker, an editor and a teacher. After he left the banking sector, he found a second career teaching English Language to upper and lower secondary students in Victoria School, Montfort Secondary School, Greendale Secondary School and Hougang Secondary School.

Raymond also taught English at ‘O’ Level and General Paper to students in a private international school in Singapore for several years. He has a Specialist Diploma in Psychology (Counselling Psychology). He holds a TESOL Certificate from the Arizona State University.

Besides teaching, Raymond has written seven story books for young adults. The first, a 290-page novel entitled ‘Mystery of the Battle Box’, is about three teenagers teaming up to solve a mystery about hidden treasure in an underground bunker which was built during World War Two. The second, a short-story compilation entitled ‘Spice of Life: Singapore Short Stories’, traces the trials and tribulations of some ordinary youngsters living in different periods of time in Singapore’s modern history, from the late sixties and early seventies, through to the eighties and nineties.
