Laura married her husband, John in 1994 and they have three wonderful kids. She has lived in almost all of the Great Lakes states and is a graduate of The University of Wisconsin-Madison. She moved to Cincinnati in 1999 right before her first child was born. She loves to explore and find interesting and fun things to do with her kids.

Laura Hoevener and co-author Terri Weeks began exploring locations in and around Cincinnati in 2003. Together, they compiled all of their favorite "Adventures" into their book, Adventures Around Cincinnati; A Parent's Guide to Unique and Memorable Places to Explore with your Kids.

Laura is passionate about encouraging parents to create memories and traditions with their kids. With two of her three kids in college and beyond, she now sees more clearly how important those shared memories are in her relationship with her kids. She loves to speak to groups to give them the encouragement and confidence to create a plan to explore the area in and around Cincinnati. She speaks about the benefits families will see by spending more recreational time together and give tips on how to plan these Adventures. She is also happy to share inside tips on many favorite locations they have visited.
