Norbert Häring works as an economics correspondent for Germany's leading business and financial daily Handelsblatt. As a student and during his doctoral studies he deeply inhaled the eternal truths of neoclassical eocnomics. However, as a financial journalist, he saw many things that were not supposed to be in the world of textbook economics. His books deal with these things. They are also the subjects of his daily column in Handelsblatt, in which he ecplains real live economics in layman terms. As a consequence of his falling out of love with neoclassical mainstream economics, he helped found the pluralist "World Economics Association" in 2011, which has already become the second largest economists' association with more than 10,000 members in over 150 countries. He is co-editor of the "World Economic Review", a free web-based journal with a large international readership.
He lives in Frankfurt, Germany, with his family.
