I have always admired the Russian art of Matryoshkas or nesting dolls. A few years ago, I decided to try painting my own nesting dolls -- and a satisfying hobby was born. When I first began decorating nesting dolls, I searched for a guide on how to paint these tiny treasures. To my surprise, I couldn't find one. I assembled this book for individuals who wish to decorate their own blank wooden dolls.

"Paint Your Own Nesting Dolls" contains detailed instructions for twelve different projects. Many of the designs are simple to paint. Most of the dolls are painted on six-inch, five-piece blank nesting doll sets. Two of the patterns were created for 10-inch, 10-piece sets. With my step-by-step instructions, you will be able to decorate your dolls with a number of different flower patterns, snow and holiday scenes, and even a collection of Russian cathedrals.
