Brian Mayer

Brian Mayer is a Gaming and Library Technology Specialist who works with 22 school districts across 4 counties in rural Western New York. He collaborates with classroom teachers and school librarians to incorporate games, escape experiences and design into the classroom to support state and national learning standards.

Brian writes, speaks and does workshops on the value and application of games in education and is co-author of several books and numerous articles on the subject. He is also the designer of the award winning board game Freedom: The Underground Railroad and was named a 2015 Library Journal Mover and Shaker for his work utilizing games in education.
