About the author

1961-63 I studied History with the University of Maryland overseas extension at Alconbury England.

1964-65 I studied Business Leadership with U.C. Berkeley’s San Francisco extension about A.P. Giannini Bank of America, Sam Walton J.C. Penney and Walmart. Jim Senegal Fed-Mart, Price Club and Costco. Of my favorite books is Lee Iacocca’s “Where Have All Our Leaders Gone!”

1966 I attended San Francisco City College received a Certificate of Completion 1968 and A.S. in criminology 1971.

1972 I received a BA from San Francisco State University with emphasis on psychology/social learning theory and behavior modification. I felt need to understand why black people do what does not benefit us.

1968 I planned, designed and implemented The Bayview-Hunters Point College to nurture my need to inject positive images and serve my people in Southeast San Francisco. My efforts were to allow black youth to grow from where they were to where they were capable of growing. I brought athletic, educational, entertainment, employment, entrepreneurial; boxing, martial arts, field trips to Disneyland, Knott’s Berry Farm, Sea World the Egyptian, Rosicrucian Museum in San Jose to the Bayview Hunters Point Community.

1972 I took the LSAT and GRE went to enroll at UCLA’s Law School in 1973. The long drive from a relative’s home Compton to Brentwood encouraged me to try SMU in Dallas, Texas. I didn’t like what I saw at SMU; attended University of Texas at Arlington’s Graduate School for Criminal Justice and Urban Affairs. The social climate in Dallas was such that I returned to California and Chabot College in Hayward.

Prior to the military I attended segregated schools where I was given quality answers, if I asked the right questions. I committed that I would never betray my elders and ancestors, or disgrace the surname given by my father. I write within standards of Maat, guidelines of Thoth, always take the high, avoid the abyss, consult with and follow my spirit guides
