I was not always a paperback writer. For many years, I was a news and sports reporter. Often I would have to write my own live updates or news stories at the scene. As the years rolled past, I noticed I was recieving more accolades for my writing than I was for my reporting. One fine day, the inevitable came to pass, my reporting career ended. But I was hired as a writer. Eventually writing became my solo career.
