Bryan McMurry

Dr. Bryan McMurry grew up on a ranch Siskiyou County, California near the Oregon border. After high school, and three years in the United States Army, while supporting himself as day working cowboy and a rodeo bullfighter, he began his academic career at California State University, Chico. After a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Business, Bryan went on to earn a Masters Degree in Animal Breeding and Genetics and a PhD in Animal Science from Texas A&M University.

Following his academic career Bryan joined Cargill as a Consultant and is presently the beef marketing manager. He currently writes for several publications, like Feedstuffs, Working Ranch and American Cattleman magazines, among others, and for The Cattle Show, a primetime program on the In Country television network. Bryan often hosts episodes of The Cattle Show where he promotes efficient beef production. In addition to his writing, Bryan is a public speaker addressing audiences on a multitude of life and business topics. Bryan regularly participates in triathlons and is an avid fly-fisher.
