Robbie Robinson was born Harold Banta Robinson. He was a 'US Navy-brat' or son of a US Naval Officer and traveled much of the world until a teenager, principally in North Africa, Europe and Mexico. He later traveled in the East: Japan, Taiwan, and Vietnam and while there became fascinated by Asian philosophy and life. He attended college in Mexico City studying anthropology and finished 3 years of studies but did not graduate. He began a personal study of world religions and philosophies that has lasted to this day. He first studied Buddhism and Hinduism and later studied the roots of Western religion and philosophy and formed the idea of writing a series of 'what if' novels based around this data. The Golden Storm is the first book in this series.
