Dana Taylor

Raised in the cultural crossroads of Southern California, Dana Taylor graduated from the University of Redlands with a degree in theatre and writing. She enjoyed a long marriage to an Oklahoma attorney and is the proud mother of two daughters and grandmother to eight lively grandchildren.

Dana’s lifelong interest in personal wellness inspired her to explore alternative medicine, essential oils, and energy healing—interests that often inform her creative work. Her books, spanning multiple genres, have earned several honors, including a Golden Quill Award for Best First Book and a 2014 Independent Spirit Book Award.

Dana lived in Honolulu for six memorable years, where she sang with the Nā Leo Lani Chorus of Sweet Adelines International. During that time, Aloha Santa was born as a whimsical performance piece for a chorus Christmas show before evolving into a full children’s book.

She now resides in a cozy cottage among the redwoods of Northern California.
