Marco de Cesaris

Marco De Cesaris was born and raised in Rome (Italy) and has been training in Muay Thai since 1978. He devoted most of his life to the study of the martial traditions of Thailand. Along the years he has been a fighter, referee, promoter, he has been a professional thai boxers’ trainer since 1989 and he has coached 8 World Muay Thai Champions, 2 Intercontinental and 3 European Champions.

He authored 13 books about Muay Thai and Muay Boran (the ancient siamese fighting system) and wrote more than 250 articles about Muay in International Martial Arts Magazines.

He also produced 15 videos on Muay Thai and Muay Boran training methodologies and fighting techniques.

He is a columnist and Muay Thai expert for the international martial arts magazine Budo International (currently published on line), since 1997.

In 1993 he founded the first International Academy dedicated to the practice and dissemination of traditional Muay Thai called IMBA (International Muay Boran Academy). IMBA is currently active in Europe, North and South America and Australia.
