Chaz Wood was born in 1973 and spent nearly 10 years writing for a living - responding to technical queries via email for one of the UK's biggest supplier of Broadband internet services.
His first novel 'Maranatha' was partly composed and edited during lunch breaks on quiet back shifts. 'Maranatha' brings together many of his personal interests; the development of the Western Church, esoteric mysticism and medieval history. It is also the first book in what has since become the 'Trinity Chronicles' series, which was followed in 2011 by a prequel, the psychological horror 'Venus in Saturn'.
As a self-employed (part-time) graphic illustrator, he has also produced comic books and his first full-length graphic novel, 'The Black Flag', is also available on Amazon Kindle. Recent works for the Kindle platform also include the first book in 'The Sword and the Ring' series, an illustrated 4-part adaptation of Wagner's 'Ring', and 'Arf & Mo', a collection of lowbrow underground cartoons in collaboration with Frang McHardy. Since 2010 he has also written and drawn the webcomic 'Geekz', set in a dysfunctional tech support helpdesk, and featured at www.2laugh.com.
Latest releases since 2012 include the Cyberpunk action horror novel 'Malaria 9' and 'Angel of Vengeance', a dark and twisted tale of fallen angels and exiled demons in modern-day Hamburg, which has so far seen 4 books written in the series. In 2016 he launched the first part of his most ambitious comic book series yet, 'Spilled Blood', a dark crime thriller set in contemporary Russia, with issue 2 due out soon. He also quit his day job after 14 years to study Fine Art & Philosophy at BA degree level.
