Mary Kaye Stevens

Former South Dakota resident, Mary Kaye Stevens has enjoyed her barefoot days on Pine Island, Florida, since 1972. Learning about the island's quirky history through conversations with decendents of original settlers sparked her interest and led to the writing or her first book for the Images of America Series. PINE ISLAND was released November, 2008. One year later--November, 2009-- Mary Kaye's book, LEE COUNTY ISLANDS, was released. January, 2012 saw the release of Stevens' third book, FORT MYERS BEACH. All three books serve as community photo albums, filled with vintage images and entertaining captions telling the history of the islands of Southwest Florida. PINE ISLAND and LEE COUNTY ISLANDS also offer 15-count postcard packets containing an assortment of images featured in the books. Mary Kaye continues to enjoy island life with her husband, Dan.
