Hi I’m Tracy! I’m a cartoonist, teacher, cat cuddler, mom, and daily dark chocolate eater. My nonfiction graphic novels for teens convey authentic human experiences in relatable ways.

I believe in the power of narrative to effect change and help people feel less alone.

My first book, How I Made it to Eighteen: A Mostly True Story was closely based on my experiences struggling with mental health, and an eating disorder. Awards: Bank Street Book of the year, Yalsa Great Graphic Novel, Texas Maverick Graphic Novel.

I’m glad to be back with a new book for you.

Unaccompanied: Stories of Brave Teenagers Seeking Asylum! These true events show a few of the incredibly strong amazing kids who walk by themselves to seek refuge and safety in the United States every day.

This is happening right now. You can make a difference: Please BUY a book.

Author’s proceeds go to organizations supporting unaccompanied refugee minors.
