The Author was born March 17, 1941, in Georgia. He attended Savannah State University, Savannah, Georgia, during the time that "sit-in" demonstrations were taking place at lunch-counters in the Southern States. Unable to secure financing for his Sophomore year, he transferred to Brooklyn College (CUNY), where he was a student of the renowned, Dr. John Hope Franklin, who was, then, Chairman of the Department of History. He received a Bachelor of Arts Degree, in Social Science from Washington State University, Pullman, Washington. The Author is an advocate for Civil Rights for all Americans, most importantly, that of Voting Rights for African Americans, which is, yet, unfinished!
