Kevin Segal

Kevin Segal was born on his mother’s birthday in 1964 and has since then spent a great amount of time thinking about this and other mathematical curiosities. Kevin was awarded his Bachelor’s Degree in Pure Mathematics and his Master’s Degree in Applied Mathematics from California State University, Fullerton. Kevin also spent 4 years on post-graduate studies in Applied Mathematics at UCLA. During his 6 years of post-graduate studies, Kevin spent nearly as much time as a math lecturer and teaching assistant applying his creativity to help his students learn about alternative problem solving strategies. Kevin is an Associate of the Society of Actuaries and has spent the last 25 years working as a “charismatic number cruncher” in one of the nation’s premier executive benefit consulting firms. Kevin lives in Portland, Oregon with his wife, daughter, son, and 2 cats.
